I would like to make a suggestion to all these programme makers though. Can you PLEASE make a blog or something that goes a bit more into the background of how you found the records, where you found them etc. That's what I find interesting. I'm sure you're more in touch with all these TV and media peeps than I am Chris...can you have a word in their shell like? :-)Catherine Nnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-434701420960162731.post-271613427836174952012-05-16T13:14:06.296+01:002012-05-16T13:14:06.296+01:00Thanks for the comments - in fact, I've just w...Thanks for the comments - in fact, I've just watched ep 2 on the media player, and was delighted to see it dealt with Bletchley Park - my grandfather's cousin was a WREN who worked there during the war. And I absolutely agree - it is the slightly different takes on things that makes it stand out. Glad you're enjoying it!

ChrisChris Patonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05073425769475523109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-434701420960162731.post-89462445984466967532012-05-16T13:06:04.558+01:002012-05-16T13:06:04.558+01:00I must agree with your comments on this series, th...I must agree with your comments on this series, the 3 episodes so far have been very good. Episode 2 which you have missed manages to tie the two stories together; the breaking of Italian naval codes which were used for convoys to N. Africa and the 8th army campaign.
What I have found interesting is discovering aspects of the world wars which I hadn't even thought about such as the RAF ground crews following the advance through Europe or the how information was gathered as revealed at the end of last nights programme.Mervnoreply@blogger.com
