First World War army diaries project

The following may be of interest to those with army connections in the First World War.

Recently the National Archives at Kew (www.nationalarchives.gov.uk) announced plans to digitise First World War army diaries in time for the centenary anniversary of the outbreak of hostilities. A blog post from Ken and Cheryl Fugal, who work with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in London, briefly details their work in the project to help order the records prior to digitisation. The post is brief, but contains images that illustrate the types of documents to be digitised.
