DocumentsOnline to say farewell

Documents Online, the digital document delivery service from the National Archives (www.nationalarchives.gov.uk), is to breathe its last on May 9th, following the integration of its material into the new Discovery catalogue service from tomorrow (May 2nd).

For several years Documents Online has been an important portal for TNA, most notably with its military offerings, such as its WW1 medal index cards, as well as other collections such as its PCC wills offerings and death duty registers. It will be sorely missed by many!

Documents Online is (very nearly) dead - Long Live Documents Online!!!!

  1. That's very soon Chris! I was just talking to Audrey Collins at TNA today about the migration from the TNA Catalogue to the new Discovery catalogue, which will take place gradually. But I didn't realise that Documents Online was migrating so quickly. Help! I haven't even looked at the Discovery catalogue yet.
