Ancestry adds trade directories

Ancestry (www.ancestry.co.uk) has added over 855,000 records from English based trade directories in a new collections, UK, Midlands and Various UK Trade Directories, 1770-1941.  The dataset contains records for Bath, Birmingham, Bristol, Bromsgrove, Cheshire, Cradley, Derbyshire, Dudley, Gloucestershire,  Herefordshire, Kidderminster, Leamington, Leicestershire, London, Nottinghamshire, Rugby, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Stourbridge, Warwickshire, Wolverhampton and Worcestershire, with several 'national' directories, one for the clergy in 1909, an engineering directory from 1934 (which includes Scotland)and a few Slater's directories from 1828, 1859 and 1862.
