The National Archives in England has announced the release of hundreds of images online from the Colonial Office Photographic Collection, depicting life in the Americas, and sourced from CO1069. The collection is accessible at http://nationalarchives.gov.uk/americas/ and includes some of the earliest images of Canada from the 1850s.
