Following on from the announcement made by the Irish Independent newspaper a few days ago that Ancestry was relocating its world headquarters from Utah to Dublin - which was instantly denied by Ancestry.co.uk and then retracted from the Independent's website (see http://britishgenes.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/major-news-ancestrycom-to-move-to.html) - state broadcaster RTE now has a piece online at www.rte.ie/news/2012/0711/ancestry-com-pledges-up-to-50-jobs.html describing how Ancestry's staff in Dublin is set to expand from 15 to 50 members within the next two years.
The Irish Government has also made the announcement about Ancestry's expansion, according to a report at www.finfacts.ie/irishfinancenews/article_1024605.shtml. It's still being described as its new "international operations centre", but there's little else on what that actually is. Some jobs are currently being advertised for Ancestry's Dublin operation at www.jobs.ie/Ancestry-com/

UPDATE: There's a wee bit more at www.siliconrepublic.com/careers/item/28235-ancestry-com-to-create-50/ - the international operations centre is to handle the non-US based Ancestry.com operation by the looks of it.
