Northern Ireland institutional abuse inquiry extended back

The Stormont Government in Northern Ireland is extending an inquiry into institutional abuse at children's homes, care institutions and borstals as far back as 1922, instead of the original planned inquiry to investigate such cases from 1945-1995. A registration process for victims of such abuse was launched earlier this month.

The BBC has the story at www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-20006400
