Genealogy in Time lists top 100 genie sites

The Genealogy in Time newsletter has issued what it considers to be the Top 100 genealogy based websites, based on traffic statistics from Alexa. British GENES has just dropped out of the top 100 (I have the rank, but have been told it's confidential, though happy enough with it!), but the biggest story is the rise in dominance of corporate vendor sites, particularly those owned by Ancestry, MyHeritage and Brightsolid. The list includes each of the individual country domains for sites such as Ancestry, e.g. Ancestry.com and Ancestry.co.uk, as well as other sites owned by the parent corporations - on that basis, Ancestry has 14 of the top 100 slots, My Heritage has 12 and Brightsolid has 5.

The full list, with analysis, is available at www.genealogyintime.com/articles/top%20100%20genealogy%20websites%202013%20page1.html
