Westminster's history

The BBC has an interesting report at www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-20858559 describing how over the last thousand years Westminster became a political and ecclesiastical seat of power, first for England and then the UK.

It's a bit Janet and John as written, describing old medieval meeting places as social networking sites and other such nonsense, but there is some fascinating history in there - well worth a read.
