British Army records from Canada join Ancestry

The Canadian version of Ancestry (www.ancestry.ca) has added early 18th and 19th century records for British soldiers who served in Canada onto its website, as well as additional immigration records to Canada. If you have a UK based worldwide sub you will also gain access to them.

The latest additions are itemised at http://www.ancestry.co.uk/cs/reccol/default. The largest collections are as follows:

Canada, British Army and Canadian Militia Muster Rolls and Pay Lists, 1795-1850 (752886 records)
http://search.ancestry.co.uk/search/db.aspx?dbid=3230

Canada, British Regimental Registers of Service, 1756-1900 (467838 records)
http://search.ancestry.co.uk/search/db.aspx?dbid=3253

UK, Royal Hospital Chelsea Pensioner Registers of Soldiers Who Served in Canada, 1743-1882 (375748 records)
