Historical Directories site gets revamped

The University of Leicester's Historical Directories website, which carries historic trade directories for England and Wales, is getting a major revamp at http://www2.le.ac.uk/library/find/rarebooksandarchives/specialcollections/historical-directories.

From the site:

Historical Directories is changing. Please read on to find out more or continue to the test version of the new Historical Directories Collection, part of our Special Collections Online. The previous version of www.historicaldirectories.org will remain available for a limited period.

Update, 5 September 2013: We are aware of some issues with searching on the new system and are working to resolve these. Feedback on the new service is welcomed, and can be sent to specialcollections@le.ac.uk.

The directories are now accessible directly at http://cdm16445.contentdm.oclc.org/cdm/landingpage/collection/p16445coll4 - that's a bit of a mouthful though, so hopefully it will take on the old URL address as a point of access in due course.
