Thousands of Worcester photographs restored

The BBC has a story online about 6500 images of Worcester that have been digitised and restored, with many of the pictures dating back to the 19th century.

The digitisation project, carried out by volunteers from the Tudor House Museum (run by Worcester Heritage and Amenity Trust), lasted five years. The images have been gathered over a 50 year period by Clive and Malcolm Haynes, and have now been handed over to The Hive for storage.

To see some of the images visit www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hereford-worcester-26562949.

Further details on the project are available at www.tudorhouseworcester.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=49&Itemid=75.
