ScotlandsPeople service launch in Inverness

It's actually been available there for a wee while, but the official launch of the ScotlandsPeople Centre's computer terminals in Inverness has now happened, in the Family History Centre (Ionad Eachdraidh Teaghlaich) at the Highland Archive and Registration Centre (http://www.highlandarchives.org.uk/genealogy.asp).

People using the set up will be able to use records at the facility for £15 a day unlimited access, including:

• Births, Marriages and Deaths (from January 1855).
• Census Returns from 1841 to 1911;
• Church of Scotland Old Parish Registers up to 1854;
• Roman Catholic parish registers
• Valuation Rolls
• Wills and Testaments from 1513-1925
