Scotland's Lost Golf Courses

The Royal Commission for the Ancient and Historic Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS) has launched a new page entitled Scotland's Lost Golf Courses - it can be accessed at http://www.rcahms.gov.uk/news/scotlands-lost-golf-courses and contains links to images of courses across the country, as well as entries in the Canmore catalogue.

Personally speaking I think of golf as a good walk ruined (my aunt used to be mad about it back in Belfast!), but I suspect I am in a minority. There are lots of great images included though from one of our nation's most prolific and historic sports - well worth a look.

(With thanks to the latest RCAHMS and Historic Scotland newsletter at http://rcahms.cmph.org/o/1G6hLk7oHtY)
