  1. A few days ago Ancestry Australia posted on Facebook about the Gloucestershire additions saying "We have updated our Gloucestershire Parish records with millions of new records and images."

I have lots of ancestors in the county so asked them what they had added.

They replied:"Hi Len, if you are looking for exact names that have been added then unfortunately we wouldn't have that kind of information. If you were having issues before with finding information in these collections it might be worth your while doing another search."

I asked: "Thanks for this. What I mean is, have you added new parishes or extra years? You must surely have a record of what you have added?"

They have not bothered to reply.

It's incredible that they add all these records yet it would appear refuse to tell us what they have done. Do any of them have any idea how we research genealogy? No need to answer :)

    Rant over!
