1916 Rising exhibition at Glasnevin Cemetery

From Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin:

The story of Glasnevin Cemetery and those buried here is central to the history of the 1916 Rebellion. The full significance of this will be further explored in the 1916 Rising Centenary Exhibition at Glasnevin Cemetery Museum.

The majority of those killed during the 1916 Easter Rising are buried in Glasnevin Cemetery. Here we hold the stories of those who participated in and witnessed this defining moment in Irish history, from Volunteers to Fusiliers and everyone in between. Starting this year special 1916 tours of the cemetery will take place telling the story of Easter week through the lives of those ordinary and extraordinary figures buried here.

Our 1916 Rising exhibition includes objects, letters, photos and previously unseen material.

Museum opening hours - Monday - Sunday 9am - 6pm

*Please note, entry to the museum is included in all tour tickets.
