Some sad news - Elizabeth Berry has died, at the age of 84. Elizabeth was
County Archivist of West Yorkshire from 1974 until 1986, and in those years
a leading member of the Society of Archivists and a pioneering advocate for
archives on the national stage. There is a private family cremation at
Darlington on Thursday. It is hoped to announce details of an event to
commemorate her life and work, later in the year.
