Irish Lives Remembered - issue 2 online

The second issue of the new Irish Lives Remembered magazine is now freely available online at www.irishlivesremembered.ie/component/content/article/1-rotator/61-free-genealogy-emagazine-july-2012.html

In this month's issue there's a brief introduction to the records of Irish civil registration from Kevin McCormack, the story of Griffith's Valuation, tales of convicts, a look at poor law union workhouses, Irish one name studies, a visit to Kerry's county library and archives, emigrants to Kansas, an in depth examination of Kilkenny resources, and loads more.

It's 62 pages long and you can read it online or download in PDF format.

Looking forward to getting stuck in! (Particularly the County Kilkenny stuff, where my wife's from!).
