Australian archive seeks to use people power

A brilliant initiative from the Australian National Archives called arcHIVE is seeking help from users to help transcribe records to be made freely available online - and you get rewards for doing so. For further details see Alona Tester's post at www.gouldgenealogy.com/2013/01/help-transcribe-the-national-archives-of-australias-records-with-archive/

To the good UK archive folks, there's a citizen army out there just waiting to help! Seems a great idea...

(With thanks to Alona)
