The Professional Approach ~ 9th March 2013

If you wish to develop your hobby into a part or full time occupation then this seminar day will provide invaluable advice and assistance. All genealogists, whether practising or not, are invited to join in discussion of research and business practices.
Led by professionals working in the field who will share the benefit of their experience and offer advice to those wishing to work as a genealogist or record agent.
Only a few places are left so book now to avoid disappointment. This course is usually over subscribed.
The price for the course is £40.00, or £35.00 for IHGS Members and correspondence course students.
The closing date for bookings is 7th March 2013.

How to Trace Your Family History ~ 6th April 2013
10:15 – 16:30
This course is aimed at those people just starting out within this fascinating subject. Some of the topics under discussion will include family records, birth, marriage and death certificates, censuses, parish registers and compiling pedigrees. A thorough grounding in the basic sources will enable students to make an excellent start in tracing their own family history. Both original and online resources will be discussed alongside practical advice on how to get the most from them.
The price for the course is £40.00, or £35.00 for IHGS Members and correspondence course students.
