The National Records of Scotland (www.nrscotland.gov.uk) has an interesting blog post by archivist Dr Alison Rosie, concerning documents held at the facility relating to the life of Mary, Queen of Scots. Mary is the subject of a major new movie, Mary, Queen of Scots, starring Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie, which a in Edinburgh last week.
The article strolls through several documents giving a glimpse of Mary's life upon her return to Scotland in 1561, with letters, accounts of expenses, inventories and other documents, including an account of the assassination of Lord Darnley.
