As a recently subscribed member, I'm feeling a wee bit duty bound here to flag up that the North of Ireland Family History Society is now on Twitter - see
https://twitter.com/nifhs for all the latest genie gossip from Ulster!

The main society site is at
www.nifhs.org - it started in Bangor in 1979, but they couldn't just be having that lot in County Down have all the fun, so you'll find branches now in Ballymena, Belfast, Coleraine, Fermanagh, Foyle, Killyleagh, Larne, Lisburn, Newtownabbey, North Armagh, North Down & Ards, Omagh. And they have a shiny new resource centre in Newtownabbey which I still have to visit, but lots there to get to grips with!
Don't forget the society is also on Facebook at
www.facebook.com/NIFHS

My new book,
Tracing Your Irish Family History on the Internet, is now available from
Pen and Sword. My Scottish land and church records ebooks are available at
http://www.gen-ebooks.com/unlock-the-past.html, whilst my next Pharos Scottish course,
Scottish Research Online, starts Sep 4th - see
http://pharostutors.com/details.php?coursenumber=102. Time to smash a few brick walls...!
