Scotland is to get its first Jewish Heritage Centre, thanks to a Heritage Lottery Fund grant of £296,900.

The centre, a joint initiative between the Scottish Jewish Archives Centre ( and the Garnethill Synagogue Preservation Trust (GSPT), is to be based at Garnethill Synagogue in Glasgow, and will cost about £500,000.
