Singapore and Malaya newspapers

Whilst writing an article today I came across an online newspaper resource which might well be of use if your family had connections to Singapore and Malaya, including the British Straits Settlements on the Malay peninsula. It's from the National Library of Singapore at http://newspapers.nl.sg, with the site providing free digitised access to titles from 1831-2009.

I've already found a piece on the evacuation of my grandfather's missionary cousin from China prior to the Japanese invasion of 1937. Hope it helps!

UPDATE: a useful link on Wikipedia provides websites of online newspapers from around the world - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:List_of_online_newspaper_archives (with thanks to @AtcherleyOrgUK)
