RootsIreland (www.rootsireland.ie) has redesigned its website with a bold new look, and has partially linked search results from Roman Catholic parish register searches to images from the original registers, as located on the National Library of Ireland's new Catholic registers platform at http://registers.nli.ie. When a name is found, it will not link directly to the register image for that entry, but to the volume - so still requiring some browsing.
The Roman Catholic registers on the NLI site cease after 1880/1881, so clearly these are the only entries that will be connected to the RootsIreland database. Note also that access to the NLI site is completely free, whereas the RootsIreland site now charges a hefty subscription.
