Lanarkshire FHS seeks new home

Lanarkshire Family History Society (www.lanarkshirefhs.org.uk) has been asked by North Lanarkshire Council to vacate its premises at Crosshill Street in Motherwell, in order for development to take place at the site. Can you help the organisation to secure new premises before September 27th? The Wishaw Press has the full story at www.wishawpress.co.uk/wishaw-news/local-wishaw-news/wishaw-news/2012/04/04/lanarkshire-family-history-society-urgently-require-premises-76495-30685895/

Incidentally, next weekend I will be taking part at a special Irish and Scottish Family History Day event to be held by the society at the David Livingstone Centre in Blantyre. Also speaking will be Irene O'Brien from the Mitchell Library, Elizabeth McCarrol and Seamus Coleman - full details at http://britishgenes.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/irish-and-scottish-family-history-day.html

Hopefully see you there!

Chris
