More on Cheshire burial records

More from Deceased Online on their new Cheshire and Chester records:

Historic North West English city places burial and crematorium records on

  • All records for the five cemeteries and one crematorium managed by Cheshire West and Chester Council in North West England are included on the Deceased Online website.
  • Of the total 185,000 records, over 65% are available immediately. The only outstanding data are pre-1953 records for Overleigh Cemetery and these should be completed by early Spring.
  • Records date back to 1850 and feature many interesting burials and memorials. They include nearly 500 Commonwealth war graves in Blacon Cemetery with graves of military personnel from Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other Commonwealth and European countries.
  • The data include computerised records, digital scans of registers and grave details showing all burials within each grave and maps showing the sections where the graves are located within the cemetery. (See database coverage on for full details).

Coming soon......records for another N W England city + more Scottish areas + an English midlands area.
