The Genealogist - March update

The Genealogist (www.thegenealogist.co.uk) has reduced the price of its Diamond subscription to £99.45, to celebrate the completion of its 1911 census for England and Wales - that's a saving of £50. Unredacted versions of the census, with details from the infirmity column now legally allowed to be viewed, are now being made available on the site over the next few weeks.

In addition, new developments this month include:
  • A new Master Search facility, allowing you to search all collections for a single name at once.
  • The release of 573,000 new parish baptismal records for Berkshire, Cumberland, Devon, Lancashire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Westmorland and Yorkshire, and 130,000 new burials for Lancashire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Yorkshire
  • Early Chancery Proceedings, Bridges Division 1613-1714
  • New trade directories - Ward's Newcastle-on-Tyne, Northumberland Directory 1910, and Kelly's Northumberland Directories for 1921, 1925 and 1929
