An ambitious plan to create a single archive facility for Dumfries is underway, to replace the current situation with three different centres holding relevant materials. The BBC has the story at www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-south-scotland-21258949. A survey will be made available on the council's website and at libraries and other council locations from February 8th until March 1st to solicit local opinion for the centre, which could require £5 million Lottery funding if the plan goes ahead.
