Deceased Online completes Aberdeenshire collection

From Deceased Online (www.deceasedonline.com):

Records For 200+ Aberdeenshire Council burial sites now available on Deceased Online

Deceased Online has now completed the digitisation of all burial records for Scotlands 4th largest council region, Aberdeenshire.

The collection comprises 200+ sites across the area in North East Scotland which includes over 250,000 burial/interments with around 600,000 records and data items.

The Records comprise scans of registers and grave details identifying all those buried in each lair. Some cemetery section maps are also available and more will follow soon.

The records date back to 1615 and include people from all walks of life from agricultural and industrial workers to Queen Victoria's personal servant and friend John Brown and Scotland's first Wimbledon men's singles champion Herbert Lawford.

Read more about John Brown in Emma Jolly's latest blog at http://deceasedonlineblog.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/more-aberdeenshire-records.html

(With thanks to Deceased Online)
