On Sunday she completed the Glasgow half-marathon in two hours and fifteen minutes, and on October 16th she also intends to run the Manchester half-marathon. The causes that she is trying to raise money for are the 1st Largs Boys Brigade minibus appeal, and locally based Douglas Park Nursery (for which she is the treasurer).
Both have served our family well in the past - our two boys have been BB boys since they could join, and regularly attend civic functions as members of the group's pipe band (both are drummers). Douglas Park Nursery is a local nursery for 2-5 year olds, which our youngest son Jamie attended a few years back, and it is alway in need of funds to help the deevlopment of those in its daily care (see http://chrispatonsblog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/happy-birthday-douglas-park-nursery.html for its 40th birthday celebrations three years ago). If you can help, I would be very grateful!
To contribute, please visit Clire's Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/claire-paton. Her target is £299 - every penny will help.
