The latest podcast from the National Archives in England is entitled Paddy Ashdown: The Cruel Victory, a 47 minute talk by the politician on his book looking at "the long-neglected D-Day story of the Resistance uprising and subsequent massacre on the Vercors massif – the largest action by the French Resistance during the Second World War."
The recording is available at http://media.nationalarchives.gov.uk/index.php/paddy-ashdown-cruel-victory/ or for free via iTunes.

Stuck for a Christmas gift?! I have a series of genealogy books available in the UK, Australia and Canada, on Scottish, Irish and British based subject areas. Further details at http://britishgenes.blogspot.co.uk/p/my-books.html. Santa approves!
