The ScotlandsPlaces website (www.scotlandsplaces.gov.uk) has now completed the upload of some 1668 Ordnance Survey name books from the 19th century.
The National Records of Scotland (www.nrscotland.gov.uk) has a feature at www.nrscotland.gov.uk/news/2013/ordnance-survey-name-books noting the achievement, as well as providing details of an accompanying exhibition to the project in Edinburgh which runs until January 31st 2014.
