The National Archives in England has an interesting blog post detailing how the British Government "strove to keep every man, woman and child from thoughts of quitting the war effort" in the Second World War. It includes information on war artists, the Ministry of Information's efforts to provide information and propaganda, and recent conservation efforts on protecting the relevant collections. The post is available at http://blog.nationalarchives.gov.uk/blog/ve-day-posters/
