Flodden: A Commemoration is an exhibition that will be running from August 27th at the National Records of Scotland in Edinburgh to commemorate the quincentennial anniversary of the battle between Scottish and English forces in Northumberland in 1513. The battle saw the death of the Scottish king James IV, the last British monarch to be killed in battle on the island. The exhibition will include rarely-seen contemporary documents.
The NRS has placed a pre-announcement of the event at http://nrscotland.gov.uk/news/2013/flodden-a-commemoration-exhibition and promises further details soon.
