Searching for an Irish colleen - 1935 style!

The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (www.proni.gov.uk) has recently started to run a document of the month feature on its website. This month it is going with the Valentine's Day theme, and reporting a 1935 letter from Seattle to the Lord Mayor of Belfast, asking for advice on how to find an Irish colleen for a wife. The article can be read at www.proni.gov.uk/news_details.htm?newsRef=3200.

UPDATE: I asked the PRONI team if they could add a high res copy of the original document, and they've brilliantly complied - visit the link at the end of the story to see the original image ( with thanks to PRONI)
