Poppy ban repealed in Birmingham

Birmingham City Council has repealed a ban on selling poppies in the lead up to Remembrance Sunday in parts of the city. The full story is at www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-14922433.

Seriously - a ban on poppy selling? There are some things you just don't muck about with really...

Congrats to Shelter and the Anthony Nolan Trust for being honourable enough to give up their slots to collect money in the city. But to Brum City Council - as they say where I'm from - "catch yerselves on".
