Hartlepool suitcase mystery

Hartlepool man Edward Powell is trying to find the owner of a brown suitcase packed with family history memorabilia dating back to the 1800s.

The suitcase contains many items, including:

A marriage certificate for an Elizabeth Ann Powell (unrelated).
Diary dated 1902 belonging to a Nancy Powell, possibly Elizabeth’s mother.
Ten photographs taken by A Clennett of 25 1/2 Lynn Street, West Hartlepool.
Birth certificate for James Crichton, dated February 11th 1904.
Marriage certificate of Elizabeth and James from 1938.
Birth certificate of a Jennifer Jane Crichton, dated May 8th 1944
Grey case with a leather and gold cigarette lighter.
Brown envelope containing a Premium Bond.
Bible inscribed “To Marion Crichton from Dad”.
New Testament with inscription “Presented to Marion Crichton”.
Book called Congregational Church Hymnal, with inscription “Miss Nancy Powell, 56 South Parade”, dated October 10th 1922.
Photo of a young child named Ann taken in Manchester, 1961.
