Google Plus to welcome everyone

New kid on the block social networking site Google+ (https://plus.google.com) is about to open its doors to everyone, after a trial period where people could join by invite only (though it wasn't difficult to get one). For more, see a post by The Only Cog at www.theonlycog.com/post/google-opens-the-doors-at-100/

I did sign up for Google+ but have to admit I became fairly bored with it very quickly. I was already in touch with most people I knew on it via other sites such as Twitter and Facebook. I was interested to note in the above blog piece that after the initial surge the userbase apparently died down dramatically to "dedicated techies".

Will it last?

Chris
