North Ayrshire Family History Society talks programme

A local plug now for the family history society group on my doorstep! The North Ayrshire Family History Society (previously known as the Largs and North Ayrshire Family History Society) kicks off its 2016-2017 talks programme with a talk by Dane Love on his latest book, ‘Lost Villages of Ayrshire’, at Largs Library from 7.30pm.

The society's website has yet to be updated to reflect its name change, whilst the 2016-2017 syllabus has also yet to be posted online. Further details on what to expect can be read in the local Largs newspaper, however, at www.largsandmillportnews.com/news/14722169.Lost_villages_feature_in_Largs_lectures/.

(With thanks to Calum Corral)

UPDATE: The full syllabus is now available online at http://www.largsnafhs.org.uk/meetings.html. The society's new name has now also been adopted on the site.
