Moray poor relief records to be digitised

From Aberdeen City and Shire's Roots to Your North East Roots, news of a digitisation project for poor relief records now underway, which will affect availability of the records for consultation:

On 26 September 2011 a digitisation project will begin on the records of poor relief held at Aberdeen City & Aberdeenshire Archives’ Old Aberdeen House, in association with the National Records of Scotland, the Aberdeen and North East Scotland Family History Society, and Family Search. The project will start with those records owned by Moray Council, and so these will be unavailable to consult in the search room until further notice. You can see a list of the records currently unavailable, as they are away for scanning, on the following file
