National Piping Centre oral history project

The National Piping Centre in Glasgow has been awarded funds from the Heritage Lottery Fund to carry out an oral history project entitled Noting the Tradition. The aim is to create an archive of piping lore, which will be made available to the public. From the centre's site - "interviews are to be conducted with people who have been involved in piping at all levels throughout Scotland in the past 50 years, to gather their stories, thoughts and reflections on their life through piping."

NB: The project is currently recruiting volunteers to carry out interviews.
