ScotlandsPeople family history session

From the ScotlandsPeople Centre (www.scotlandspeoplehub.gov.uk) newsletter:

Family history session with ScotlandsPeople - Thursday 13 September, General Register House, Edinburgh

If gothic bling isn't your thing, and you much prefer the idea of attending a ScotlandsPeople event in a more restrained, classical setting, then you could attend the next family history session at Register House. This event takes place at the ScotlandsPeople Centre on Thursday 13 September, 9.30 am to 12.30pm.

Starting with a brief presentation about the ScotlandsPeople Centre, this is followed with a taster session using the computer search system. To round off the event, there is another short talk about the records that are held in the Historical Search Room. Light refreshments (included in the ticket price) are provided during the session.

These informal events are ideal for people who are new to genealogy and the facilities at the ScotlandsPeople Centre. There is a charge of £5.00 per place and seats must be booked and paid for in advance. For further information and to reserve a place, please call 0131 314 4300 (option 1) or email the ScotlandsPeople Centre at enquiries@scotlandspeoplehub.gov.uk.
