Ancestry's Old Search is dead

After many years, Ancestry ( has finally killed off its Old Search facility, leaving its heavily evolved New Search facility the only game in town. A blog post for the reasons behind this is available at

Rather boringly, the search facility is now simply called.... err.... Search.

No more drama - no more this one's better than the other one.

Old Search is dead - long live Old Search!
