The Isle of Wight Family History Society will host a First World War conference and exhibition on Saturday May 3rd 2014, from 10.30 to 17.00 at Northwood House, Cowes.
Entitled The Wight at War 1914-1919, speakers include Richard Smout, Harry Willis Fleming and John Medland, whilst exhibitors will include Isle of Wight Family History Society, The Scout movement, Historic Ryde Society, Northwood and Gurnard WWI project, The National Trust, War Memorials Trust, Ventnor and District Local History Society, Friends of Northwood Cemetery, IW County Record Office, Cowes Heritage Society, Ryde Social Heritage Group and the Hampshire Genealogical Society.
