Oxfordshire FHS is hosting an open day on Saturday 6th October 2012, from 10am to 4pm, at The Marlborough School, Shipton Road, Woodstock OX20 1LP. Admission and parking are free, and the venue is fully accessible.
There will be advice on researching family history in Oxfordshire, with transcribed parish registers available on CD, and plenty of helpdesks. Books relating to Oxfordshire will be for sale also. There will be representatives from Oxfordshire History Centre, Westgate Library, and the Oxfordshire Victoria County History.
There will also be plenty of other family history societies represented, from Dorset to Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, for those with ancestors outside Oxfordshire, plus military specialists, vendors of genealogical software & antique books, and more.
Light refreshments will be available.
