Jewish, German and Massachussetts collections added to Ancestry

Ancestry (www.ancestry.co.uk) has added the following collections for Massachussetts, which may be useful in particular for those chasing Irish connections in the USA:
  • Massachusetts, Birth Index, 1901-1960 and 1967-1970
  • Massachusetts, Marriage Index, 1901-1955 and 1966-1970
  • Massachusetts, Death Index, 1901-1980

(I've just found several of my wife's cousins from Quincy! Her uncle emigrated to the state from Co. Tipperary in 1922)

The following Jewish collections have also been added:
  • Philippines, Jewish Refugees, 1937-1941
  • Romania, The Jews of Oradea (Nagyvarad), 1939-1945
  • Poland, Gross-Rosen Concentration Camp Victims and Survivors, 1940-1945

And if you have German connections:
  • Grevesmühlen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, Street List, c. 1910 (in German)
  • Grevesmühlen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, Births, 1876-1901 (in German)
  • Grevesmühlen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, Deaths, 1876-1950 (in German)
  • Grevesmühlen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, Marriages, 1876-1920 (in German)

Links to all are available via http://www.ancestry.co.uk/cs/reccol/default (access is via a World subscription)

Chris

My wife Claire is planning to swim from the Scottish island of Cumbrae to the town of Largs on September 14th to raise money for local charity Gillian's Saltire Appeal, providing respite for families affected by cancer (Claire's mum and sister in Ireland have previously come through cancer, whilst my mum, based in England, currently has bladder cancer). Her Just Giving sponsorship page, with further details, is at http://www.justgiving.com/Claire-Paton1. If you can help to sponsor her, even by a wee amount, we'd be very grateful - many thanks!
