Changes to parking costs near PRONI

From the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (www.proni.gov.uk):

PRONI has been informed by Titanic Quarter Ltd of changes to car parking facilities in the area. The car park on the Queens Road (opposite the Harland and Wolff drawing offices) currently used by visitors to PRONI will now be charged at an hourly rate or £3.50 per day and spaces will be available on a first come, first served basis. Members of the public may also use the car park at Belfast Metropolitan College which will be charged at the same rate. Alternative parking is also available at the Odyssey Arena.

I was informed at the National Family History Fair on Saturday by the good folk of the North of Ireland Family History Society that the bus routes have been increased recently to PRONI. It may be preferable to taking your own car or getting a taxi - a couple of months ago I took a taxi to PRONI and asked the driver to get me to Titanic Quarter. "Where's that?" he said. "Just head for the cranes" I answered!
