Borders FHS seeks to change status

Borders Family History Society (www.bordersfhs.org.uk) is seeking to adopt a new status as a charitable incorporated organisation, which will present it with significant advantages, not least of which will be the ability to own its property, with its present facility at the Laird's Room at Old Gala House, Galashiels, now too small for its needs.

A full explanation of the proposed changes to be discussed at the society's annual general meeting on May 27th 2012, along with the benefits that it is hoped will be achieved, are outlined on the society's blog at http://blog.bordersfhs.org.uk/2012/05/change-to-borders-family-history.html.
