Due to nationwide industrial action by the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) on Thursday 10 May, The National Archives will offer a reduced service to the public on this day.
Document delivery will take longer (up to two hours) and there will be delays to readers' ticket registration. We will close early at 17:00 on this day.
Delays are inevitable, and we therefore strongly advise visitors not to visit on 10 May unless absolutely essential.
COMMENT - I'm not sure how widespread this may be, whether just to TNA, to England, or UK wide, so do check with any archives you plan to visit on that date to be sure of getting service! Please also be aware that TNA is closed from Sat 5th to Mon 7th inclusive for the bank holiday - reopening Tuesday 8th.
